successful completion of probation in recognition of regular unsocial hours)

SUMMARY
The Logistics Support Officer will be responsible for delivery and collection of merchandise, stock,
promotional materials and equipment to support community fundraising events, box collections and
our in-house lottery plus planning the annual motorcycle ride out. This job will require some early
morning, late evening and weekend working, particularly during the summer.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
1. Deliveries & collections
1.1. Manage collections and deliveries of merchandise, promotional literature, materials and
equipment, in a timely and cost effective manner.
1.2. Liaise direct with volunteers, fundraisers and members of the public to arrange collections and
deliveries
1.3. Collect and distribute collection boxes in areas not covered by volunteers and to cover for
volunteers during illness and holidays
1.4. Coordinate distribution of Helipad magazines
1.5. Present a professional and friendly face of the Trust in all interactions with employees,
volunteers and the general public
2. Events
2.1. Take lead responsibility for planning and coordinating the annual Motorbike Ride Out in liaison
with the Ride Out committee and fundraising team
2.2. Set-up and break-down of promotional stands at events, exhibitions and shows, including our
own organised mass participation events
2.3. Work closely with colleagues to ensure events run smoothly, on time and uphold the reputation
of the trust
2.4. Liaise with all relevant parties to ensure licences, permits and authorisations are in place.
3. Planning & record-keeping
3.1. Liaise with colleagues and use Outlook and other tools to plan and coordinate deliveries and
collections to ensure most effective use of time and fuel, eg identify and communicate planned
whereabouts to ensure capture all needs in a given area
3.2. Ensure all procedures are carried out diligently and maintain accurate records
4. Health & safety
4.1. Ensure pool vehicles are regularly inspected, check oil, tyres and screenwash, and report any
problems immediately
4.2. To operate at all times within the health & safety policy and adhere to safe working practices at
all times
4.3. Ensure the stock room and garage are kept in a clean, tidy and organised condition

Annual Leave:
25 days per year plus bank holidays (FTE)
Pension:
Currently 6% of salary from month six of employment*
Probation:
6 months
Notice:
1 week during probation, 1 month thereafter
Sickness:
SSP during probation, 4 weeks full and 4 weeks half pay thereafter
Length of Contract:
This is a permanent position
* You will be required to make a minimum personal contribution in order to benefit from the 6% of
pensionable salary contribution from the Trust.
