Program Coordinator - Transplant Services POTENTIAL SIGN ON BONUS AND/OR RELOCATION ASSISTANCE FOR HIGHLY QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS Position Summary: Promotes the quality of nursing care to patients throughout the continuum of kidney and/or pancreas transplant. The Transplant Coordinator demonstrates advance nursing skills and works closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate the evaluation of the potential transplant recipient, the management of the candidate on the waiting list, the post transplant recipient and the living donor. Job Requirement: Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and three (3) years of clinical nursing experience at least one of which was coordinating a clinical program (i.e. Stroke Program, Cardiology Program, Dialysis Program.) Licensing/Certification Requirements: Valid License by State of Nevada to Practice as a Registered Nurse; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification. Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements: PREFERRED: BSN DEGREE. COMPUTER SKILLS WHICH INCLUDE DATA BASE MANAGEMENT AND WINDOWS APPLICATIONS (EXCEL, WORD, ACCESS) EXPERIENCE EVALUATING PATIENTS BASED ON ESTABLISHED CRITERIA TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY FOR A PROGRAM, ONGOING COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION WITH THE PATIENT AND HEALTHCARE TEAM.
