2.3h Promote institutional awareness of transplant programs. 1) Transplant Center X created a Facebook page and regularly highlight events, patient stories, changes (starting VCA program) etc. Transplantation at Transplant Center X is the Facebook name This links to Donate Life and multiple other transplant related organizations Transplant Center X also regularly highlight transplant stories on our institutional homepage, this also links to the Facebook page. The homepage, will have 4 rotating stories that run for one week, and many times per year this will be a transplant related story. 2) 3) 4) 5) This is accomplished by the institutional Public Affairs group who has assigned FTE to promote transplant within and outside of Transplant Center X, they pitch stories and events to local and national news vendors. They daily update Facebook, complete interviews, plan events such as celebration of the 5000 kidney transplant etc., they are part of each program team when developing the yearly strategy plan. They report to our Executive committee on their process and accomplishments quarterly. They work with our local OPO, the donate life group and other organizations to maintain visibility and accurate information. Bi-annual status report to the Operations Coordination Group (OCG) Highlight Organ Donation Month with donation sign up clinics held in the cafeterias nearly daily, Grand Rounds presentation, Guest speakers such as Helen Bottenfield and other nationally known speakers. Raise the donate life flag when there is a deceased donor Currently developing a donor memorial that will be located at each hospital campus and at the downtown campus. (This is also mostly done by PR reps with support from key transplant staff)
