WORK EXPERIENCE
 Intern
June 2001 – May 2002
Project Leader in Developing a Pest Control Database for a Bio-Tech (India) Ltd. System
involved development of entire database from resource acquisition to the sale of the finished
product. The aim was to convert the old manual system of assigning jobs, billing procedures,
inventory management and other transactions into fully automated system designed on the
client server architecture and having a graphical user interface. The designed system was
tested and then implemented successfully. Microsoft Access used as a database backbone
and visual basic used for User Interface design.
 Research Intern
January 2003 – June 2003
Design and Development of a Software Testing Tool using Case Based Reasoning (AI) in
collaboration with the National Institute of Systems tests and Productivity (NISTP) and Dr
Rosina Weber (Drexel University). The project involved the design of a Knowledge
Management Tool to test software modules automatically on development. The tool was
developed in Java.
 Database Manager
March 2003 - Present
Working at Renal Transplant Department (Hahnemann University Hospital) on Clinical
databases of transplant patients. Creating multiple tables of patient databases with 400
attributes, creation of reports summaries and using data mining tools like Weka and C4.5
Decision tree analysis. Research papers submitted to the American Transplant Congress
(ATC).

Design and Development of a Complete Patient Database at the Liver Transplant
Department (Hahnemann University Hospital) using Microsoft Access and SQL Server.

Database Design Project for a Hospital Management System, was a project undertaken for
my Software Engineering Course during my Undergraduate Study.
Database Management System for a College bookstore

The strategy was to have a Software solution, which will ensure the smooth functioning of the
warehouse operations, which will primarily cover the operations of the entire store like
generating purchase orders, daily sales, stock monitoring and mainly inventory management.
Research Project on Customer Relationship Management: Segmentation
January 2003 – March 2003
The project was a research on the latest trends and developments of the customer
segmentation techniques used by major corporations. The result of the project was to
creation of a taxonomy of Customer segmentation, also included the use of data mining for
CRM.
Design of a Supply Chain Management System using UML

The project was to design a successful Supply Management System for a Soda giant from
the step of acquiring raw materials to the production of finished product. The development of
the project was based on use of Unified Processes.
Challenges in Data Integration of Gene Expression DBMS

The data integration challenges involved in building a system for managing gene expression
data were discussed, these challenges have been addressed in our system and in the
context of several system integration projects.
A data warehouse approach and tools were used in developing the system and were found to
provide an effective environment for developing a system to support the integration and
management of data from diverse sources, in which data was imprecise and was in the
process of evolving over time.
