Liver Transplant Program Manager - Transplantation, Abdominal (NURSE ADMIN 3) Job ID 7899 Job Summary The Administrative Nurse Manager is responsible for clinical, fiscal, human resource and quality outcomes for the Adult and Pediatric Liver Transplant and Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplant Programs (IRTP). This includes actively managing all clinical operations including evaluation of a potential recipient or living donor, management of all patients on the waitlist, and the education and management of recipients and living donors post transplant. Working closely with Medical & Surgical Directors and Director of Clinical Operations, the Manager will develop standards of care to ensure high quality, cost effective delivery of care and spearhead innovative projects for program improvements. The Manager works with staff on a clearly defined and communicated vision and engages individuals and groups to achieve that vision. The Manager identifies and develops organizational talent and embraces continuous learning of self and others. The Manager collaborates with Medical Director, Surgical Director and Clinical Operations Director to advance quality strategies, ensure a positive professional work environment, facilitate timeliness of services, and enhance patient and staff satisfaction. The Manager oversees all aspects of the provision of clinical services including the maintenance of safety and technical/clinical performance, quality, standards of care, practice guidelines, service delivery and patient and customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for financial accountability and working collaboratively with the Director and Transplant Finance Manager to monitor the operating budget. The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations is required. Required Qualifications Five years of progressive leadership experience Knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned: Clinical knowledge Proves supervisory and staff development skills Computer literacy, i.e. MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and other software Knowledge of healthcare regulatory agency standards for outpatient settings Knowledge of UNOS and CMS regulations One year of transplantation experience Current California Nursing License Current American Heart Association CPR certification Preferred Qualifications Management experience within a transplant program Understanding of transplant specific federal and state regulations Experience with TeleResults software; a transplant specific electronic medical record Master’s degree Current American Heart Association ACLS certification Licensure/Certification Current California Nursing License Current American Heart Association CPR certification We offer a comprehensive benefits package effective on the first day of employment and a location in the heart of San Francisco.
