The Problem and its Setting
Education is an essential instrument for social and economic growth of a
country. One of the main goals of education is to master literacy skill, which is
the basic ability to read and write. Different nations of the world have declared
that is the right of every person to get education by speaking through the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Madani, 2019).
Today, in globalized, digital, postmodern, and pandemic society, the necessity
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
ASSUMPTIONS
The level of pupil’s performance in Mathematics is average.
HYPOTHESIS
There is no significant relationship between literacy and numeracy level
among learners.
SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS
The study is considering Grade 3 pupils and other parents as respondents.
While other pupils and their parents in the other grade levels are not included in
the study.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
LEARNERS
This study will benefit the learners ensuring safe and secure environment
hence, resulting to conducive learning environment promoting quality learning
DEPED
This study will provide information on the support extended by
stakeholders and provide total accumulated donations from benefactors.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
Family Involvement – This term is defined by Reyes (2022) as the process of the
participation in school activities. In this study family involvement refers
to the participation of parents on PTA activities.
