Update the Work Plan
PRESENTER: RAMONA MCAFEE
Announced that the May 22, 2007 meeting minutes were sent out and post ed on the
website
Noted a reduction to the ETT budget, allowed $40,000 to be available for new projects
Recommended as a new project: Board of Regents awareness – present an annual
report once a year (suggested the April BOR meeting following the Military Strategic
Council meeting)
Steve Hamilton applauded Kate Ripley’s presentation at the Foundation meeting (“New
marketing efforts by the University of Alaska”) – one of the focuses of the Marketing
plan for next year will be distance ed.
Thursday, June 7, 2007, Ramona McAfee and Karen Perdue will present an update on
distance ed and the ETT at the BOR meeting
Finalized the Work Plan with a few omissions and changes
Overall the Work Plan will include:

DE Metics
o
Partnerships with related organizations
o
Leverage current tech investment
o
Continue RFP process
o
Develop Plan for Statewide Faculty Development opportunities
o
Educate ETT on bandwidth limitations and initiatives
o
Continue Susan Warner’s work on the student tech guide
o
Continue Steve Hamilton’s case studies project on distance ed programs –
completion date in 2007
