People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of Residential Tenancies Act 1986 for residential property management. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Demonstrate knowledge of Residential Tenancies Act 1986 for residential property management. Evidence requirements 1.1 Key terms used in the Residential Tenancies Act 1986 are explained in accordance with the Act. Range 1.2 includes but is not limited to – agent, address for service, application, bond, commercial premises, contact address, ethical belief, fixed-term tenancy, landlord order, possession order, periodic tenancy, rent, tenant, work order, working day. Different types of tenancies are identified in accordance with the Act. Range includes but is not limited to – short fixed-term tenancies, existing tenancies, exclusion of certain cases under the Act.
