Learning Activities: SW in small groups independently or supported read 5th chapter from a
book, SW pause after every page for discussion initiated by the prompt.

Assessment Methods: answered end of the chapter comprehension questions
Checks for Understanding: participation in discussion prompted after every page is read

SW practice the vocabulary through spelling city (2 activities per student)
SW log in to Brain pop and independently watch video “skin”
SW answer comprehension questions as a class
SW create posters how to take care of their skin, working in 3 small groups, each group will
work on different category: 1. Wash your face, 2. Moisturize your face, 3. Protect your face.
SW share information gathered on the poster.
