Summary Statement: State the major function(s) of the position and its role in the university. (This section is used for advertisement of the position.) The Coordinator, KUNR Membership and Marketing, plays a critical role in the advancement of KUNR. The individual researches, plans, oversees, coordinates and executes strategies, projects, programs and events aimed at increasing individual financial contributors (members) to meet station goals, including annual fundraising drives. In addition, the Coordinator develops, plans and executes cost-effective station marketing and promotion through broadcast campaigns, community events, traditional methods and social/online media to advance the station’s financial and market-share growth, visibility and profile in the community. The position reports to the Station Manager, KUNR. 2. List the major responsibilities, including percentage of time devoted to each. Describe the level of freedom to take action and make decisions with or without supervision and how the results of the work performed impact the department, division and/or the university as a whole. Level of Freedom: The Coordinator works with general oversight from and regular communication with the Station Manager, operating with a high level of freedom and initiative and works closely with the Business Operations Manager and Development Director to develop creative fund-raising activities and ideas. The position is responsible for growing membership rolls and revenues while providing the critical marketing and promotions efforts to advance the station’s financial and market-share growth, visibility and profile in the community. The position consults with the Station Manager on membership issues that need higher level resolution or assistance. The position gathers data, suggests planning and budgets for promotion of KUNR, and receives final approval from the Station Manager. Impact: If the Coordinator fails to meet expected membership and marketing and goals, it would impact KUNR’s visibility and success at the University and especially in the community. Ineffective marketing and promotion efforts would cause a negative effect on the ability for the station to continue to grow. 4.
