Job Description
Reports to:
Research Coordinator
Clinical Services Director
Position Summary
The Research Coordinator is responsible to coordinate and administer research study
associated activities and ensures that regulatory requirements are followed including
adherence to the principles of good clinical practices (GCPs) and adequate human
subject protection (HSP).
Job Responsibilities

Plans and coordinates the initiation of research study protocols, and the
establishment of operating policies and procedures.

Recruits, instructs and coordinates research subjects, as appropriate to
specific study objectives, and serves as principle liaison
for the project.

Assists the principal investigator and research director with various administrative
tasks associated with the day-to-day operations of research studies and projects.

Plans and coordinates with the research director the staffing of research studies, to
include the recruitment and administration of research support staff, as
appropriate to the activity.

Plans, implements, and maintains data collection and analysis systems in support of
the research protocol.

Monitors the progress of research activities; develops and maintains records of
research activities, and prepares periodic and ad hoc reports, as required by
investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies.

Demonstrate excellent customer service skills


Job Description
Research Coordinator
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse with 5 years experience required. BSN
preferable. Membership in local, state and national
societies is encouraged.
Knowledge:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a
must, patient record confidentiality requirements, State of
Ohio and Federal legal requirements for a physician
practice (OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance.), Understanding of
Code of Federal Regulations for Human Subjects.
Certified in GCP’s and HSP.
Abilities:
Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented, able to work
independently, strong interpersonal and communication
skills, knowledge of personnel management, ability to
work effectively in a team environment, problem
identification and solution development and
implementation, ability to set priorities and manage
multiple tasks.
Metrics

Coordinates and administers 4-5 research studies
