JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting in the preparation of various reports, statistical
information, correspondence, auditing registration monies and bank deposits of monies collected
on a daily basis. Provide customer service to employees of the college and general public.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Verify add/drops and reinstatements; troubleshoot problems with
student records in the automated system and work closely with other
departments within the College to resolve problems with student
records; provide customer service to student, faculty, staff and outside
agencies; position also responsible for cashiering and maintaining a
cash box, prepare various reports and collect and audit monies for
bank deposits; and assist with the running, verifying, voiding and
reestablishing of Financial Aid and Student refund checks.

2. Prepare manual check report; process detailed date in computer and
prepare reports, charts and forms which will be utilized by other
departments; and assist with daily reports.

3. Answer telephone, take messages, rout calls and follow-p on calls;
process stop payments and provide follow up information; and provide
telephone registration information.

4. Provide cashier orientation and training.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Tuitions Supervisor
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide work direction to staff assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Completion of business school, trade school or specialized training
or one year of college.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Skills/Abilities: Computer literate, working knowledge of dot matrix/laser
good communication skills, stress management excellent customer service.
2. Equipment Used: Personal Computer, fax, telephone, copier, and other
equipment associated with an office environment.
3. Software Used: A variety of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail,
and presentation software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Duties require little physical effort in work with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle
materials.
Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other
faculties due to long periods of standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Alternative or combined skills in understanding, counseling, and/or influencing people are
important in achieving job objectives, causing action, understanding others, or changing
behavior; and, skills of persuasiveness or assertiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point
of view of others.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with occasional
distractions such as noise, interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some
disagreeable elements.
