POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Tuitions Assistant Non-Exempt CATEGORY: GRADE: Classified D JOB SUMMARY: Provide semi-routine clerical support services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 30% 1. Review reports on a daily basis to correct system generated errors and cashier errors as well as provide work direction to assigned staff. 2. Assist with the preparation of reports and bank deposits; assist with auditing registration monies. 25% 3. Evaluate and isolate problems with pay manager based on policies and procedures. 20% 4. Maintain and review departmental files and records. 15% 5. Answer telephone, take messages, route calls and follow-up, input departmental data and keep records of cashier monies on a daily basis. 10% REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Tuition Supervisor SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide work direction to assigned staff. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Associate’s degree or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years experience. SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of basic accounting principles; ability to analyze, isolate and solve tuition related problems; and ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures. 2. Equipment Used: Personal Computer, fax, telephone, copier, and other equipment associated with an office environment. 3. Software Used: A variety of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and presentation software. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to long periods of standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion.
