JOB SUMMARY: Assist the Office of the Vice President Information Technology/Chief Information
Officer in a broad range of assigned special projects which require the use of judgment and discretion to
handle administrative matters following College policies and procedures.

1.
Assist the Vice President Information Technology/Chief Information Officer and
the IT department with special projects and events which include; coordinating
day-to-day tasks assigned to project, research, compile, prepare and submit project
reports. Develop project plans accordingly to project needs and provide support
by marketing and ordering needed supplies and materials. Assist with the
preparation of PowerPoint presentations.

Facilitate and work closely with the Vice President Information Technology/Chief
Information Officer, IT Leadership, managers, and other EPCC departments to
maintain and monitor fiscal budgets (for various IT departments), verify charges,
budget transfers, journal entries, and resolve budget issues. Work with Budget
Office, Accounts Payable, and Accounting Department to assist with reports and
ensure accountability and accuracy relevant to information technology accounts.

Assist with scheduling and organizing district-wide meetings with employees,
faculty, students as well as technology vendors and other IT leaders in the
community. Schedule and arrange conference calls for meetings and events.
Develop quarterly and end of the year reports, organize and maintain routine
records and confidential files, complete and process district forms. Read and
respond to incoming/outgoing mail and correspondence. Assist with IT planning
sessions and keep track of Area Effectiveness Plans.

Serve as facilitator between Vice President Information Technology/Chief
Information Officer and other stakeholders on College policies and procedures in
regard to IT processes. Provide administrative support to include professional
development activities and assist with the coordination and preparation of Board
Agenda Abstracts; serve as resource person in the IT department.

Collaborate with the IT web team to maintain and support updates on the
information technology/CIO website.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Associates Degree or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years related experience.

1. Skills/Abilities:
 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the
public;
 Effective organizational and time management skills;
 Knowledge of accounting/budgeting practices, rules and regulations;
 Knowledge, skill and ability to coordinate complex activities and exercise
independent judgment;
 Ability and experience preparing and editing reports/agendas/other materials;
 Ability to compose correspondence;
 Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work independently;
 Knowledge to maintain social media websites;
 Ability to comprehend and interpret policies and procedures;
 Knowledge of SharePoint Platform;
 Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and oral form;
 Knowledge of working with PowerPoint and ability to create advanced
presentations;
 Ability to work in a diverse environment and be sensitive to issues of diversity and
inclusion.

Software Used: A variety of spreadsheet, word-processing, database, e-mail, and presentation
software.
