For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, April 13, 2006 CU’s Science and Mathematics Expo set to open The Cameron University Science and Mathematics Exposition 2006 is almost ready to dazzle and inspire visitors. Set for Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22, the annual expo will feature science, mathematics, and geography projects, submitted by elementary school students from the Lawton-Fort Sill community and the surrounding area schools. The event is free and open to the public. “This is such an enjoyable event for the students who participate and for those who attend,” said Kurtis Koll, Ph.D., event coordinator and physical sciences professor at CU. “Each year I am amazed by the originality, the research and production of the displays. The students work exceptionally hard, and it shows in the final product.” Public viewing of the displays is from 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 21, in the Sciences Complex on CU’s main campus in Lawton. Judging will take place from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday with awards announced shortly thereafter.
