For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, March 24, 2004 Marketing basics to be taught at CU workshop New and existing small businesses will learn innovative ways to attract more customers through a workshop, “Marketing Plan Basics,” on Wednesday, March 31, at Cameron University in Lawton. CU assistant marketing professor Dr. Terrence Paridon, the university’s 2003-2004 Edward and Lenore Hamra Retail Marketing lecturer, will lead the workshop. This workshop was developed at the request of the Cameron University Students in Free Enterprise Team, which is working to increase entrepreneurship across Southwest Oklahoma. Workshop participants will learn how to improve their skills in developing marketing plans for new or existing business, get more customers, learn to build or improve market potential, and have an opportunity to network and collaborate with other business owners. Wednesday’s workshop runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in South Shepler 402. Registration is $10 per person, payable at the door. CU and Great Plains Technology Center students will be admitted free.
