Carol Bassuener Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary Chapter Gathering Minutes-11/19/14 Call to Order Meeting started at 9:00pm Pictures for New Inductees Guest Speakers/Fund Requests Sanford Hall - Mario Party Live - $150.00 o Asking for a $150 for snacks o Did ask RHAC $200 for prize o Did ask ORL for $100 any extra expenses o Sanford is already allocated $200 for supplies. o What snacks? o When and where? o Chips, popcorn In Mitchell, will start at 7pm-10pm this Saturday. New Business New Amendments – Katie o At GLACURH, found out we were not affiliated with the national level because we were missing some information in our constitution. o Section Seven: Lifetime Membership Once a student at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is inducted as a member of The Carol Bassuener Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary, they will be considered an active member as long as said student remains living in the Residence Halls. Students graduating or living off campus will remain a part of NRHH as alumni members. o Amendment is passed into our constitution. Community Service Coordinator Election o Kacy Rozwadowski Who is she? She likes art, PPL, cereal Very passionate about service. She attended work camp every summer. New retreat? Service retreat! Hopefully a RA in Hutch In the optimist club but they meet every 3 weeks. Intermural sports is. Google Docs Pro. It will be a joy to contact and create service opportunities. Maybe find new opportunities that our Chapter hasn’t reached yet. What is your favorite service organization? Favorite type of pie? Old Business None Executive Reports President - Alex Joers o Winter Formal You can help out with setting up Winter Formal and that will count for your RHAC meeting/event. o Thanks to Ash December 4th, at 5:30pm at the La Crosse Event Center Sign the card as a sign of thanks. (Ha pun!) Vice President - Andrew Treu o If you have the money for the apparel, give to Andrew. He will hand deliver the swag to you personally. Communications Coordinator - Emily Hilby o GLACURH Summary o 4 NRHH members went to GLACURH o Betsy got Top Ten for her program! WOOT! o Did not win GLACURH Chapter of the year o Had a constitution glitch upon arrival o Katie is amazing. Regional Communication Coordinators. Originally had 1 per region. Now anyone can be elected to RRC regardless of which region they are from. o Secretary - Ryan Hoye o Raised from $70 from our fundraising. Website Blurb, fill those out and they are going to go on the website. Finance and Fundraising Coordinator - Jason Chambers o Calendar Talk New source of income after bed lofts are no longer a source. Mark Beckerjeck is an amazing photographer and allowing us to use him picture of the seasons of La Crosse. Calendar will be marketed towards parents versus students as the REC gives out. Calendar will have information regarding to when the hall open and closes, student bill dates, registration, etc. Greek Life can be included. If you have thoughts of what can be put in the calendar, let Jason know. Calendars would be primarily sold at freshman registration and move-in day. No idea how much what the calendars will cost/sell at this point. o Let Jason know if you want to help out in anyway. Budget Update If were to spend our money on gold, we would over a pound! $35,530.07 OTM Coordinator - Anna Nachreiner o 21 people on OTM Voting Committee Need Angell, Coate (3), Drake, E.Maroon, Laux, Reuter, Wentz, White o Only 6 people have fulfilled their OTM Membership Requirement Community Service Coordinator - Nikki Fronek o Our goal for service hours was 150 and we are at 141! o How are service opportunities decided? Service opportunities can only be accepted if we as a chapter can represent and do together. o It is very tricky and give Nikki some slack! This Sunday from 6:30-8:30, setting up Christmas trees in an elderly home. o Spenser won a mug for his outstanding service commitment!
