Carol Bassuener Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary Chapter Meeting Minutes 1/28/15 Call to Order Gathering called at 9:00PM Patrick is absent. Guest Speakers/Fund Requests Angell Hall - Life Size Board Games o Life size versions of games. February 7th from 7pm until 10pm o A ceiling of $200 Money will be spent on food, decorations, and prizes. Also requesting money from RHAC, Angell Hall, and Alcohol Alternative. Questions? What kind of publicity will there be? There is a Facebook page and NRHH will be put on there as a sponsor! o Vote Discussion I LOVE LIFE SIZE HUNGARY HIPPOS-Jordan How much money does NRHH have? We have only spent about $300 on programs out of a $5500 budget. Fund request has approved! New Business Goals o Libby and Cara o SMART Goals Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Timely o 1. 5 minute activity at the start of each gathering. The people who are doing the Shout Outs could plan them. o 2. NRHH could co-partner programs with other organizations on campus. o 3. Each member to post to the shout-out page weekly. o 4. Bi-weekly dates within NRHH. o 5. Minimum of one fundraiser per year. Stay under budget for each category. o 6. Goal is to have 25 people apply for NRHH next year. WURHA Bids o Chapter of the Year! We’re kind of a Big Deal. o WHIL Member of the Year! Alex Joers. o WHIL CC Member of the Year. Emily Hilby OTMs promotion! o Anna created a poster to promote OTMs and will be putting them in the posters. Old Business None Executive Reports President - Alex Joers o Shout out to Katie, Kacy, Caitlynn, Sarah, and Gabrielle for all their work for the Day of Service. Vice President - Andrew Treu o Thank you cards. o With all the changes happening with NRHH, we would need to form a Constitution Committee. Jason, Alex M., and Justin have shown interest. This committee will not be meeting for a while though. Communications Coordinator - Emily Hilby o Pillars to Values o Hercules=NRHH National Board. o Market place post-Herculues=NRHH. o Why the shift? “Pillars no longer represented how chapters interacted with the values of NRHH”-NNB o This is happening nationally and not just in Wisconsin. o Main focuses are recognition and service. o Pillars are no longer affiliated with NRHH. Team Secretary - Ryan Hoye o Thank you for taking the mid-year survey Finance and Fundraising Coordinator - Jason Chambers o Mugs are in! o We are getting a discount for the mugs! OTM Coordinator - Anna Nachreiner o Write OTMs o Still one OTM for the month of January. Community Service Coordinator - Kacy Rozwadowski o We will be sending a card to Bianca due to her leaving UW-L and wishing her well. o Kacy created a sticker board for us to know how we are doing service wise! It will be posted on the window at the NRHH/RHAC office. o Volunteers options o We had 158 hours of service last semester. o We have averaged 4.514 hours per semester. o Our goal is to have 200 hours as a Chapter which only equates until 6 hours per person. o As well as google docs, there will be a sign up sheet to Reports Proposal Stick with having Recognition and Service Teams. Having a Team with event planning and promotion instead of Leadership. Academics have been absolved into Recognition. Having a Team focused on fundraising and helping Jason give us the $$$.
