S PECIAL I NTERFAITH O PPORTUNITY WITH M ARSHA M ARKIN
On Saturday, February 23rd from 1-4:00 pm, Marsha Mirkin will be once again coming to the parish to help us explore the story of Moses and the Burning Bush. Members of Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley are also being invited to join us. The session will take place across the street from St. Ignatius at the
STM classroom building on BC's Brighton Campus . Marsha's presentation entitled "Standing on Holy
Ground: The Search for Identity and Spiritual Connection" is intended to help us prepare for Passover
(Pesach) and Easter. This interfaith Torah study will invite us to join Moses as he asks the question that we all ask, “Who am I?” Like Moses, we can experience confusion, hope, doubt and longing on our journey; and along with Moses, we can unexpectedly find ourselves standing on Holy Ground. Please join us on February 23rd for this special Lenten program.

First Week of Lent Growing Food in Burkina Faso
In the small West African nation of Burkina Faso, 80% of the population is farmers. Frequent droughts make it difficult to produce enough food for the entire year. Often, farmers can only grow enough to feed their families for seven months. The rest of the year is called “the hungry season.” This week, we pray for families in Burkina Faso and give to CRS Rice Bowl to help small-scale farmers.
THANK YOU for your donations to our collection to underwrite lunches at St.
Francis House Day Shelter in Boston. Unfortunately, the weather meant that many were not able to contribute, so you are strongly encouraged to make a direct donation to St. Francis House. The more we help them, the more resources they will have to continue the many vital programs they offer to the needy in the Boston area. St.
Francis House, 39 Boylston St., Boston 02116, www.

Queridos Parroquianos,
Padre Bob
