Implementation of Action Plan
Spring 2012
Dr. Peter Bales, Political Science, recommends the following strategies to implement the
action plan developed as part of the 2010-2011 assessment of SS 410:
Item 1: The data indicates there is a definite need for more effective delivery of both
General Education Objectives and Individual Course Objectives. Political Science
faculty will meet to clarify General Education Objectives and Individual Course
Objectives. Teaching strategies, assignments, and readings will be discussed in regard to
their effectiveness. Individual student assessment will also be addressed. In addition, it
would also be advisable to agree in principle on curricular objectives.

Item 2: Syllabi will list both General Education Objectives and Individual Course
Objectives.

Item 3: Survey item #3 will be reworded in the interest of better clarity for the students:
