Office of Financial Management Washington State Major Project Status Report 12/1/11 (FINAL) Agency Number: 665 Agency: Peninsula College Project Number: 2006 – 125 I (2-2) School/Campus (if applicable): Peninsula College - Port Angeles Project Title: Maier Hall and West Campus Improvements Bill Reference(s): 520-07-5257 Contact Name, phone number, email: Rick Croot 360-417-6553 rcroot@pencol.edu Project Description: This project replaced Buildings F, G, H and I with a new three-story academic facility that includes general classrooms, art studios, music practice and rehearsal rooms, a learning lab, Basic Skills classrooms, faculty offices and a lecture/performance hall that seats 131. Square feet: 62,950 GSF Scope Changes: When this building was originally requested it was a 70,000 gsf building. Because of construction cost increases early in the project, the building design was scaled back. The appropriation for this project was cut in the 2010 Supplemental session by $3,983,000. The project was divided into two phases: Phase I – site and building preparation including demolition which was completed in January 2010 and Phase II – construction and site improvements. Phase II was completed on August 29, 2011. The grand opening for the building was held on September 23rd, with the first classes starting on September 26th.
