Des Moines Register 02-04-07 ISU team matches wits in business competition Iowa State University's College of Business will host an MBA competition for the North Division of the Big 12 Conference on Feb. 17. Master of business administration students will compete in four-person teams that will be given 24 hours to analyze a Harvard-style strategic management case. Teams from ISU, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri and Nebraska will be given a case to study on Friday and present their findings and recommendations to judges the following day. A judging panel composed mostly of business executives will question students about the case. The presentation questions will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 1 to 4:15 p.m. in Room 2127 of the Gerdin Business Building. The two top teams will advance to a competition to be held March 9-11 in Oklahoma City against two teams from the South Division of the Big 12. Members of the ISU team are Michael Conger of Ames, Elizabeth Hattery of Nevada, Doug Van Werden of Osceola and Tharangi Ranasinghe of Sri Lanka.
