Innovation is in the air. With the introduction of Clean-Ramp™ technology, Siemens delivers air emissions compliance while load following. siemens.com/energy Solar…wind. With the increase in renewable energy sources, supply is continually fluctuating and power plants are ramping more than ever. The challenge? Maintaining low average emissions when your plant is frequently ramping. The solution? Siemens Flex-Plant with innovative CleanRamp technology. The most advanced technology of its kind, Clean-Ramp integrates the operation of the combined cycle to maintain low NOx and CO out of the stacks while ramping. So you can ramp more frequently and more quickly with less environmental impact. That’s what we call “doing more with less.” Flex-Plant™ 30 In addition, the gas turbine in the Flex-Plant 30 can be quickly synchronized and then ramped to base load in about 20 minutes with stack emissions levels being achieved in 10 additional minutes, compared to 90 minutes for the traditional combined cycle plant. The result is faster, more efficient dispatch power, which can significantly reduce start-up emissions and start-up fuel costs, potentially increasing generationbased revenue. Utilizing proven fast-start technology in a three-pressure reheat application, the Flex-Plant 30 can achieve full load in about half the time required by traditional combined cycle plants, while retaining its high 57 percent plus net efficiency. A proven SPPA™-T3000 integrated plant control package has been optimized to reduce warm-up hold times and further reduce steam turbine start-up times to 30-35 minutes. With the Flex-Plant 30, fast synchronization and 10-minute megawatts is a reality, making this solution ideal for your portfolio. This unique, patent pending feature integrates the control of the gas turbine and SCR to enable low total plant emissions out of the stack, while ramping up or down. Now, in addition to starting and moving fast, the Flex-Plant 30 is clean and flexible all day, every day. At Siemens, integration of the combined cycle is key, and Clean-Ramp technology is the next step in our evolution of ecofriendly integrated power generation.
