The Class Website includes information such as: Warm-Up
Activities, Daily Homework, Upcoming Events, Schoolwide
Information, Fun Websites for games and other resources regarding
math, science and education in general. The website is updated
weekly to keep you up to date regarding your students.
Suggested School Supplies:
(Note: some of these supplies many need to be refreshed as the year goes by)

o pencil pouch (bag)
o three pencils (NO mechanical pencils!)
o one sharpener
o two red pens (for corrections only)
o one highlighter (yellow, orange, or pink)
o a box of colored pencils
o a few erasers
o lined paper - always have a supply in your binder
o scissors
o glue

*The effort grade is based on classwork completion and extra effort in class
* The citizenship grade is based on how well students behave and show the Cougar
Way in class according to our classroom strike policy.
Grade Printouts:
· Assessment grade printouts will be sent home regularly throughout the school year.
· Parents need to sign the grade printout and send it back to school – this will be
counted as part of the Homework grade.
· Additionally, there will be 3 progress reports and 3 report cards during the year.
Classwork Policy / Missed Assignments:
Every student is required to complete all classwork assigned each day. If you
are absent, you will need to set up a special time to discuss the missed work with me. I
will gladly discuss missing work before or after school. Classwork and homework from
previous days in the week will be placed in a basket labeled for the period.
Homework Planner / Policy:
Math homework will be given out EVERY DAY except Friday! All homework
will be written in student planners everyday. All homework is due the NEXT day or it is
considered late. If you are absent, be sure to check the class website and labeled basket
for the homework you have missed.
Assessments:
Students that score a “79” or below is allowed to do ONE revision of that
assessment. The revised assessment must be taken within 2 days of the assessments being
handed back to students. All assessments must be signed by parents and returned the
following day or it will be considered late.
Restroom / Food & Beverage Policy:
While there is a lot of learning done in the class I understand that there are
emergencies to use the restroom. Each student will be provided with 2 bathroom passes
for each trimester. I would still strongly encourage students to please take time outside
of class during breaks, before and after school to use the restroom and get drinks of
water. Students that have both bathroom passes by the end of the trimester will be
rewarded for keeping both passes.
There will be no eating or drinking in Room 206. Not even during breaks. You
may bring small bottled water bottles with water in them, but they must remain on the
floor. There will be NO GUM – as per the school-wide rules.
Students who take advantage of or misuse restroom or water bottle privileges will
have them revoked, with the possibility of receiving additional punishments.
Behavior Management Policy (strikes):
