LITERACY DAYS
The students have the
opportunity to choose
an activity to complete.
The choices are writing,
recitation, drama, or a
design-your-own.
This will be completed mostly
during IF.
USA TEST PREP
The students have been
assigned four benchmark
tests. They have four weeks
to get 200 points. If a
student makes a 100 on the
first two tests, then he or
she gets a 100 and does not
take the next two tests.

MATH




Things we might do in a typical class period:
Warm-up—EXTREMELY important part of our lesson. We use this
time to review important content, identify any possible
issues/misconceptions, and preview new material.
Homework is issued on USA Test Prep or through Edmodo.
Lesson—includes notes and guided practice so the students will
have something to look over for help
Practice Time: Students will have the option of partner practice or
independent practice when a new concept is introduced. I never
give an assignment for a grade until we have had sufficient time to
practice without penalty.
Closing—wrap-up on the lesson before dismissing.
When students need help in MATH, here are some options:
 Your notebook is your textbook. It is imperative that students keep
notebooks organized in order to use it as a resource for help at
home.
