Retired as GM, HSSE - Health, Safety, Security & Environment. Had opportunity to tackle assignments on Projects, 0perations, Supply & International Trade including Corporate HSSE. Anchored infrastructure Projects from stage of concept to commissioning during 1987 to 1995 with a short stint reporting to Director (Marketing) based at New Delhi during 2001-2002. Widely travelled on Project assignments and HSSE Inspections including foreign visits to France, Italy and Egypt during September to October 1986. Visited major cities in UK as part of 10-week Training for “Managing Technological Change” facilitated by ITS, England during 1991. Passionate HSSE speaker having taken sessions on Workplace Safety at both National Seminars (PETROFED New Delhi), PETROTECH, New Delhi workshop (Chennai) and International Conferences by Marcus Evans at Singapore (March, 2009) and Kuala Lumpore (Jan, 2010). Participated as Indian delegate in the GRI conference, Netherland during summer 2010 lead CII , New Delhi and Invent Germany under Project namely ‘Cosmic exposure‘. Represented BPCL as part of Indian Business delegation lead by FICCI to Climate Change Conference: COP – 16 at Cancun, Mexico during Dec 2011. Further, presented this initiative in form of case study titled ‘Leveraging workplace Health for excellence in HSSE at Oil & Gas Terminal at National Conference anchored by PETROFED, New Delhi AND Conference at Singapore (2009). As head of HSSE, institutionalised the process of CSR initiated at BPCL during year: 2005-06 and matured over period to reach Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Bharat Petroleum received Govt of India award for Sustainable Development Report titled ‘Building Sustainable Future: 2010-11. During the tenure spanning a decade with BPCL; achieved Excellent rating for company consistently in the areas of HSSE as per MoU Targets. Completed single member assignment for BPCL on “Biodiesel as alternate fuel - validity including Jatropha Plantation and action plan” which lead to formation of M/S Bharat Renewable Energy Ltd (JV Company with Indian companies of repute). Lead the HSSE Team to complete Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project involving 5MW Wind mill commissioning as per UNFCCC.This lead to earning total 5634 Carbon Emission Reduction (CER) as revenue generation unit of BPCL for ten years period- from 2009 to 2019 apart from setting new benchmark in Oil Sector.
