Job Description Title: PR and MARKETING OFFICER Contract: Full time Maternity Cover (14 months) Locations: London, Islington N1 Interviews: London, 8th and 9th April Salary: c£28,000-£30,000 pa Directly reporting to: Business Manager Functionally reporting to: MD, Senior Management Team (SMT) Job Purpose: Working as central Communications resource, the capable all round communications professional will maintain our profile and corporate image and increase collections. This is an important role with the chance to be involved in a range of tasks, from writing copy, to delivering both PR and marketing plans Social Media advertising and relationships with the press and our charity partners. Key aspects of the role will be planning, production and delivering marketing materials, therefore general print management and coordination experience is essential. Adept at designing and creating ad hoc small pieces of marketing collateral with InDesign, the role includes liaising with departments across the organisation and working closely with third party logistics, graphic designers and printers. Day to day press office duties and working with the head of the team to ensure the company’s brand guidelines are adhered to. A content management system (Wordpress) is used to ensure the company website is kept updated. Principal Responsibilities: With support from the Business Manager, the post holder will ensure: 1. End to end responsibility for high volumes of marketing collateral, organising production using third party suppliers. 2. Follow various brand guidelines, writing design specifications, involvement in some copy writing, proof reading and commissioning print runs 3. Supporting the entire business in brand related and marketing tasks 4. Take lead on both development and practical implementation of PR and media plans including contacts and database management, fielding journalists calls and press release distribution 5. Online and social media advertising 6. Responding to public queries through social media, working with the Helpline 7. Monitoring and evaluation of activities 8.
