Page 1 of 6 Position Description Title: Marketing Manager, Latin America Position Number(s): 1073 Division, Unit, Location: International Operations, Growth and Emerging Markets, Latin America Level: Austrade Overseas Performance Level (AOPL) 4 Term: Ongoing Reporting to: Marketing Manager, Growth and Emerging Markets, Sydney Role: Duties: Marketing Manager, Latin America For this role we seek a highly motivated and experienced professional to (1) lead the promotion and strategic communication of Australian industry capability to Latin American executives, influencers and the media and (2) articulate the importance of the Latin America region, in the context of its trade, education and investment relationship with Australia. The position is based in the Austrade office located in the Embassy of Australia in Santiago. The successful candidate will promote Australian capability in Latin America. They will manage competing project timeframes and demands from stakeholders, with minimal supervision. The individual will possess significant experience in leading and coordinating marketing and communication activities across a region, building a coherent narrative, but also responding to specific market interests. Strategy & Program Development Develop and implement an integrated marketing and communications plan (for the region and each market) that pursues broad long-term objectives with a defined set of programs, in consultation with the Marketing Manager, Growth and Emerging Markets Sydney and Trade Commissioners in Latin America Identify ways to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities for Latin America, including identifying key performance indicators, measurement tools and benchmarks Program Execution Generate innovative ideas, develop project plans, manage budgets and timelines, and prioritise critical programs and elements necessary to achieve objectives. Strong interpersonal skills, including record of success in stakeholder management and working with virtual teams, preferably in a multinational organisation. 4. Professional project management skills and the drive and discipline to ensure competing deadlines are met on time. 5. Experience in briefing and managing suppliers within tight budgets and deadlines. 6. Superior written and verbal communications skills in English and Spanish. AOPL4 Commencement salary is 50,286,849 CLP gross per annum. Salary advancement to AOPL4 Standard Salary level (52,933,525 CLP gross per annum) can be approved after six months of service, subject to a positive performance appraisal. Mandatory Requirements: Education: - Minimum Bachelor level relevant tertiary qualification (for example but not limited to International Business/Economics/Marketing or industry-related disciplines). Experience: - Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and delivering integrated marketing and communication strategies or a similar role.
