LANGUAGE ARTS
Listening and speaking:
The students will:
 Practice spelling of vocabulary words.
 Reinforce use of “If-then”.
 Apply future in affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences to describe
images.
 Decide what they like or dislike from the listened information.
Reading Skills
The students will:
 Identify and apply consonants Rr, Ss, Tt and Vv to specific words.
 Practice reading of sentences and short stories.
 Remember relationships between characters, events and
experiences.
 Summarize, compare and contrast two stories.

Writing Skills
The students will:
 Identify, match and write consonants Rr, Ss, Tt and Vv.
 Identify, match and write (dictation) vocabulary words with consonants Rr, Ss,
Tt and Vv
 Have dictation of known words and small sentences.
MATHEMATICS
The students will:
 Count and match numbers from 0-100 (review).
 Work with written and mental additions and subtractions.
 Learn what weight is.
 Start to work with two-digit additions.
 Identify and build solid figures (cylinder, sphere and cone).
 Make fractions (½, ⅓, ¼).
 Use ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th).
SCIENCE
The students will:
 Learn how animals and plants grow and have different habitats.
 Recognize the function and importance of water, air and soil for life on planet
Earth.
 Learn about a balanced menu, using “My Plate” and classify food.
SOCIAL STUDIES
The students will:
 Identify visual and audio means of communication (telephone, radio, movies,
TV, and internet).
 Continue checking maps and how to use compass rose.
 Learn about March (Mexican Oil Expropriation (18), Benito Juarez’s Birth (21),
1st day of spring (21st)) and April holidays (Children’s day (30th)).
SOCIO-EMOTIONAL SKILLS:
The students will:
 Learn the skills to identify and manage anger.
 Identify the importance of being honest.
 Learn to decide what to do to solve problems.


Escucha y Expresión Oral
Los estudiantes:
 Usarán y sustituirán oraciones afirmativas, negativas e interrogativas
combinadas para describir eventos en tiempo presente, pasado y futuro.
 Predecirán resultados de historias y oraciones incompletas.
Habilidades de Lectura
Los estudiantes:

 Practicarán la lectura de cuentos cortos.
 Identificarán y mencionarán lo importante de lo trivial de distintas historias

ART
The students will:
 Continue assessing and deriving meaning from works of art, including their
own, according to the principles of design, and aesthetic qualities.
 Communicate and express through original works of art applying artistic
processes, skills, materials and tools to share meaning.
MUSIC
The students will:
 Continue noticing cultural diversity as it relates to music, musicians, and
composers.
 Read, notate, listen to and analyze music.
 Listen and describe music and other aural information, using the terminology of
music.
DANCE
The students will:
 Build the range and capacity to move in a variety of ways.
 Perform basic locomotor skills.
 Name and perform folk/traditional dances from Mexico and two other countries.
 Look at and know dances from a variety of times and places.
 Be able to identify differences between two dances.
 Explain basic features that distinguish one kind of dance from another.
 Respond to a variety of stimuli with original movement.
 Create movements that reflect a variety of personal experiences.
GYM & SPORTS
The students will:
 Develop fine and gross motor control on different contexts.
