KINDER 1 February 2015-2016 LANGUAGE ARTS Listening and Speaking: The students will: Be able to construct short affirmative and negative sentences. Identify and produce sounds of vowels and consonants Nn, Pp and Qq. Make simple rhymes with support. Follow instructions of two or more components. Initial Reading The students will: Create own stories relating them to drawings. Start to rhyme simple words. Identify and match similar letters (consonants and vowels). Understand and paraphrase the sequence of events included in a short story read by the teacher using drawings. Identify and name: characters, place and title of stories heard in the classroom. Initial Writing The students will: Identify, match and trace vowels and consonants Nn, Pp, Qq. Reinforce writing and cutting skills. Repeat visual patterns. MATHEMATICS The students will: Identify, count and match numbers from 0-18. Comprehend and identify the concepts of equal-same, big-small, more than-bigger than. Use seen geometric shapes ( , , , , , ) to create other figures. Be able to develop simple patterns of numbers and shapes. SCIENCE The students will: Reinforce hygiene habits. Understand the reasons and consequences of a good/bad hygiene. Be able to identify and locate México in a map. Talk about their route to school. Describe what they see on their way to school and what’s near their house. Get to know the traffic signals. Learn about February holidays (Mexican Constitution Anniversary (5th), Valentine’s Day (14th), Soldier Day (19th) and Flag Day (24th). ESPAÑOL Escucha y Expresión Oral Los estudiantes: Conocerán y expresarán palabras que inician con consonantes Nn, Pp y Qq. Construirán historias de una lista de cinco palabras. Formularán oraciones afirmativas y negativas simples en sus actividades diarias. Participarán en actividades orales describiendo objetos y eventos familiares. Lectura Inicial Los estudiantes: Asociarán nombre y sonido de las consonantes Nn, Pp y Qq con palabras que inician con dichas letras. Reforzarán el concepto de palabras que riman y nombrarán objetos que rimen con dos palabras. Utilizarán aplausos rítmicos para expresar y contar sílabas de palabras familiares. Escritura Inicial Los estudiantes: Empezarán a trazar su nombre. Conocerán el trazo de las consonantes que inician con Nn, Pp y Qq e identificarán vocabulario de estas letras. Apply artistic processes, skills, materials and tools to communicate meaning. Learn about Matisse. MUSIC The students will: Improvise melodies and accompaniments to express own feelings and ideas. Notice cultural diversity as it relates to music, musicians and composers. Listen and describe music and other aural information, using terminology of music. DANCE The students will: Respond spontaneously to different types of music and rhythms. Name the opposites using basic movements. Perform locomotion movements(crawl, creep, walk, run, jump, hop and climb). GYM& SPORTS The students will: Continue developing gross motor control on different contexts.
