Find common ideas between two stories. Identify the information needed to solve a specific problem. Express main ideas clearly and logically. Initial reading The students will: Identify, match and write consonants Rr, Ss, Tt and Vv. Identify and apply consonants Rr, Ss, Tt and Vv to specific words. Remember series of events in the correct order after listening stories. Understand details of a story read by the teacher. Initial writing The students will: Identify, match and trace consonants Rr, Ss, Tt and Vv. Trace and copy vocabulary words. Trace their name and last name. Order shorts letters and figures using their memory. MATHEMATICS The students will: Work with seen geometric shapes. Identify, count and match numbers from 0-50. Identify the concepts: the same, equal, as much as, less, less than. Develop measures of time (clock and calendar). Review additions and subtractions. Learn about length concept (meters). Practice relationship up-down, over-under. SCIENCE The students will learn about: ENVIRONMENT : My school: friends and teacher. What do I do after school? My family: who lives in m house? What is my family like? Zoo, farm and water animals. SOCIAL STUDIES The students will: Explore their local environment to describe it. Where is my school? Where do I live? Principal characteristics of my city (Monterrey). Learn about March (Mexican Oil Expropriation (18), Benito Juarez’s Birth (21), 1st day of spring (21st)) and April holidays (Children’s day (30th)). ESPAÑOL Escucha y Expresión Oral Los estudiantes: Formulan oraciones afirmativas y negativas Reconocen y producen el sonido de las consonantes Rr, Ss, Tt y Vv.
