Seventh and Eighth Grade Spanish Class Procedures
I am extremely excited about the opportunity to be your Spanish teacher this year! I can't wait to get to know you all
and have a successful school year.
Students are asked to bring the following supplies to EVERY CLASS:
o 2 Notebooks
o Two pocket folder
o At least TWO pens or pencils
Grading Policy
A= 90-100
B= 80-89
C= 72-79
D= 66-71
F= 0-65
10% - Homework
15% - Quizzes
75% -Tests
Entering the Classroom
Please enter the classroom quietly and appropriately. You are expected to be in your seat and QUIETLY working
when the bell rings! Have your homework out on the desk to be checked and begin working on the DO NOW
activity. Every day when you enter class, there will be an HACER AHORA-DO NOW on the board.
Homework Policy
Homework is important in Spanish class. It reinforces what you learned in class and gives you more practice outside
of school. Remember learning a language only happens through lots of PRACTICE!

10 completed homework assignments in a row will get you a free homework pass!
Notebook Policy
A great notebook has the following written down as the title:
o Name
o Date
o Type of Work: either a Do Now, Classwork or Homework
Absences
o In the event of an absence, missed class notes, assignments, quizzes and tests are the responsibility of the
student and must be completed within 2 days of the absence. Assignments given in after that time period
will be assigned a zero.
o All missed homework assignments can be viewed on my classroom website.
o Get missed notes from a class buddy or from Señorita Metz or me after school.

Be seated and working when the bell rings.
Treat each person with respect and dignity.
Leave your notebook and folder in an ORGANIZED manner where it belongs in the class.
Follow all class procedures for classwork, hw etc.
Follow all rules and guidelines in the student agenda book (no cell phones, gum chewing, etc.).
The bell does not dismiss the class, the teacher does.

Walk quietly to your seat.
Get your materials from your class bin and have your pen/pencil ready.
Place your homework in the INBOX bin
Read the objective for the day and any other special instructions on the board.
Head your notebook page properly.
Begin your Do Now.
If you CHOOSE to break a rule there will be consequences
Please review the Franklin Township website at franklinboe.org and then click the tab for Students or Parents then go to
Code of Conduct to view the consequences depending on the infraction. If rules and procedures are not taking
place in my class I will do the following:
First Time: Initials on the Board. Verbal warning
Second Time: Call home
Third Time: Call home and after school detention
Fourth Time: Call home, report to administration
