BUSINESS GCSE PREPARATION
Your child will be taking their Unit 1 and Unit 2 Business
exams in May/June 2016.
VERY SOON, they will NEED to begin revising for this exam. The topics to be
examined are:
UNIT 1
 Starting a Business
 Marketing
 Finance
 People in Business
 Operations Management
UNIT 2
 This unit builds on the concepts learned in Unit 1, allowing students to
study businesses as they grow and the issues that expansion raises.
Sources of revision:
 YOUR exercise books
 Past papers
 Electronic sources: BBC bitesize, businessed, tutor2u websites.
 Class tasks.
 Home revision: individual and group
 AQA website for past papers also provided by school
Pupils need to focus chiefly on two areas:
 Subject knowledge and understanding of concepts
 Exam technique skills
All of the above are covered in lessons BUT they need to be reinforced
independently by pupils ideally with your support.
