Financial Inclusion in the Housing Sector Research Internship ROLE DESCRIPTION Toynbee Hall is a thought leader in the area of financial inclusion. We advocate a twin pillar approach to tackling financial health issues; creating a financially inclusive environment, and skilling up individuals to navigate that environment successfully. A growing area of our work is with the housing sector, identifying good practice and supporting housing providers to contribute to building the financially healthy environment. We are currently looking to recruit a proactive volunteer intern to join our team as we move forward with our work building our body of good practice in this area. Following our organisational restructure, our policy and practice work now sits within the National Services team. The FI in the Housing Sector Research intern will provide support to the Head of National Services and the National Services Coordinator and will work in the following areas. Key responsibilities: Conduct research into financial inclusion policy and practice within the housing sector Conduct telephone interviews with housing sector professionals about their FI programmes Prepare internal briefing documents Produce documents for sharing our learning for the website and wider dissemination SKILLS/EXPERIENCE You will need to demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas: Interest in the areas of money management, financial exclusion, and behavioural change Undertaking research and analysis using a range of sources Report writing Presentation Interest in strategic planning VOLUNTEER GAINS You will benefit from a range of training and supervision that will provide valuable practical experience and personal development opportunities.
