GRADES will be assigned in accordance to the following formula :
E1 = Hour Exam I (100 points), June 15 (Friday)
E2 = Hour Exam III (100 points), July 9 (Monday)
QH = quizzes & homework (100 points)
F = Final Exam (200 points), July 19 (Thursday): 10:30 –12:30 p.m.
AV = Course average
The course average is computed by the formula:
AV = (E1 + E2 + QH + F)/5
LETTER GRADES will be assigned according to the following scale:

85 - 100
B
75 - 84
C
65 - 74
D
55 - 64
E
Below 55
It is not true that the grade a student gets on the final exam will be the
grade for the course.
QUIZZES will be given in class on Tuesday or Thursday each week. Each quiz is
worth 10 points and the best 5 quizzes will be chosen for the class average.
Quizzes can not be made up and no late homework assignments will be
accepted (19 sets of homework, lowest 3 will be dropped. Each set worth 3
points, with 2 bonus points for a total of 50 points).
