Homework, quizzes, coding:
– Homework will not be collected. Each week, problems from the book will be assigned and the
solutions will be posted on blackboard. The homework will form the basis for the quizzes.
– Most weeks, quizzes will be given on Fridays. These quizzes will be based on the homework. A
small amount of the quizzes will NOT be on the homework, but on material discussed in lecture.
– Coding assignments consisting of matlab, excel, and Visual Basic will be assigned throughout the
semester. These assignments will be collected as noted on the syllabus. You may discuss coding
with other students, but should write your own code. Software will be used to verify code is not
copied and violators will be reported to the honor board.
Tests: There are two scheduled tests with the estimated dates given on the syllabus.
Projects: There will be two projects that will be due the last week of classes. One will be an
individual project, and the other will be a group project. More information will be given in the second
week of classes.
Grades: Your grades will be recorded on blackboard. The following table will be used to calculate
grades.
