Shafeeq Ghabra is Professor of Political Science at Kuwait University and Visiting Scholar with DU’s
Center for Middle East Studies for the month of January 2015. He was the founding president of the
American University of Kuwait and is the former director of the Center for Strategic & Future Studies at Kuwait University. He is the author of several books and his columns are syndicated throughout the region.
