 HR Committee and CRC expressed concern over the cases of discrimination on
grounds of religion (ineligibility of non-Muslims for naturalization; access to places
of worship, problems of students belonging to religious minorities…). What measures
have been taken to address these concerns?
 What measures are envisioned to address concerns of the HR Committee regarding
freedom of expression in the press and on the internet and related legislation, as well
as the high number of cases before the courts under blasphemy laws?
 What steps is Kuwait taking to address legal and police restrictions on freedom of
association and assembly and impediments to activities of civil society and human
rights defenders?
 What measures have been taken in view of the ratification and full alignment of
national legislation with the Rome Statue of the International Criminal Court?
