Course Description

This course deals with the development and implementation of organization strategy. It focuses on the perspectives, analytical techniques, and capabilities utilized by managers to improve an organization’s probability of attaining sustainable competitive advantage and success in the long term. This course will cover the following topics, environmental scanning, strategy formulation, corporate, business and functional strategy, as well as strategy implementation and evaluation and control.

Learning Objectives

1To introduce the basic concepts and theories of strategic management.

2To teach the student how to apply these concepts in case analysis in an attempt to translate the theoretical knowledge into real life applications.

3To develop and improve the skills needed for strategy analysis formulation and implementation.
