To accomplish this purpose, this course introduces various analytical frameworks which help us identify the sources of competitive advantage from both industry & firm perspective. We will focus on strategic decisions and the processes by which general managers position their business and allocate resources in the face of both uncertainty and competition. By focusing on what makes some competitive strategies strong & viable, while others remain weak & vulnerable, we will develop the intuition and skills needed to consider the impact of change and other important environmental forces on the opportunities for establishing & sustaining competitive advantage.
