Aimed at helping alleviate current queues and delays, the upgrade programme covers five junctions, three pedestrian crossings and a priority controlled roundabout interchange along a 2.7km single carriageway. The project scope includes MOVA, implemented with SCOOT loops for future upgrade to UTC, the installation of new signals and the total redesign of two sites including junction realignment.
