NATIONAL SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON SCIENCE INVESTIGATORY PROJECT
(SIP) OF THE CENTER FOR THE PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT
OF EDUCATORS (CPAE)
The Center for the Professional Advancement of Educators (CPAE) will hold the National
Seminar-Workshop on Science Investigatory Projects with the theme Teaching and Learning About
Conducting Science Investigatory Projects (SIP) from February 26 to 28, 2016 at the Naga Regent
Hotel, Elias Angeles St., Naga City.
The Seminar-Workshop aims to:
1. enhance the participants’ basic writing research skills needed in SIP;
2. train them on how to apply the scientific method in creating a problem,
formulating the hypothesis, testing the hypothesis through proper
experimentation, data gathering and drawing conclusions; and
3. challenge them to create a research proposal for the SIP.
The target participants to this activity are school heads/principals, school
administrators, supervisors, heads/coordinators, teachers and interested students from both
public and private schools.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-ofclasses policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to
Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
