Michael Angst Michael Angst is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of E-Line Ventures, a ‘double bottom line’ early-stage venture fund focused on empowering individuals, small businesses, and disenfranchised communities through innovative uses of personal fabrication, digital media, and on-demand business services. Prior to founding E-Line Ventures, Michael spent several years as a Senior Partner at Bluefin Partners, a boutique advisory and investor in the middle market private equity segment, where he focused on techenabled business services deals. His investments/engagements included Lason, a multi-national Business Process Outsourcing company that delivers service through over 70 independently owned micro-franchises in India and China (employing over 10,000 people) and Oakleaf, the nation’s fastest growing waste management outsourcer whose credentialed affiliate model supports many of the largest U.S. retailers via a network of 5,000 independently-operated local service providers. Prior to joining Bluefin Partners, Michael served as the Chief Operating Officer of National Healthcare Resources (NHR), an outsourced insurance services provider, where he supervised the growth of the Company from $10MM to over $150MM in annual revenue and the acquisition and integration of over 20 private companies. Michael began his professional career within the Salomon Brothers Sales and Trading Training Program, after which he spent six years as a quantitative analyst in support of fixed income products and investment banking transactions. Michael graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied computer science and electrical engineering. He also pursued a graduate degree in film from New York University, where he produced several award winning short films. Michael has also produced theater in New York City and served as an advisor to independent film companies. Michael currently serves as Executive Chairman of Stolen Bases, an ELine portfolio company that empowers small enterprises with on-demand business services. He also serves on the Board of Directors of FilmAid International (an NGO that uses the power of film to promote health, strengthen communities, and enrich the lives of the world's vulnerable and uprooted) and Sustainable South Bronx (an organization that which drives environmental justice through economically sustainable projects).
