How the narrative is introduced in
Se7en through - Mise-en-scene
This screenshot, shows the two characters entering a dark place with torches in
their hands. The meaning behind this point, tells the audience that there is
already a sense of mystery going on and the characters are in search of
something to help them solve a particular case.
The dark scenery already shows the convention of a thriller film as it portrays
tension.
As we can see here in the room there is a ticking timer and has an
extreme close up to it. The object plays a significant part in telling
the audience that ‘time is running out’ and prepares the audience
that the film can be to do with time.
