Narrative Writing- Origin Myth

Directions: Use this planning sheet to plan and write an origin myth for our culture. You may work by yourself, in pairs or a group of three. This writing assignment will be completed during class time and count as a project grade (30%). You must turn in one completed myth and this planning sheet with the names of all the people in your group on top. Your myth may be typed or hand written as long as it is legible. It should be between 200 and 500 words. Your myth must explain a natural occurrence, a cultural norm, or a belief present in our society.

(examples: stereotypes, laws, popular fads, natural phenomena, etc.)
