HOMEWORK, QUIZZES, & CLASSWORK (20% of the trimester grade):
 Homework is for practice and learning. Mistakes are just fine as long as you have
corrected them.
 Homework is due the next class day after it is assigned. Students are expected to attempt
every problem assigned conscientiously and deliberately.
 Label all assignments with name and period in upper right corner of page.
 Show all your work and circle your answers.
 Students are also expected to CHECK EACH ANSWER AND CORRECT any mistakes.
Put the number incorrect at the top of the page. Answer keys are on the Google
Classroom.
 Each assignment is worth up to 3 points, depending on completion, score, and selfcorrections. If you do not show your work or process you will get a 0 for the assignment.
 A quiz (or quizzes) will be given assessing learning targets during each unit.
 There will be some form of quiz remediation to earn back points after each quiz.
 You may work together on daily assignments outside of class; however, copying
assignments is not working together and will be treated as cheating.
 Classroom activities and classroom assignments will be counted for points as classwork.
TESTS (65% of the trimester grade):
 Tests will be given at the end of each unit, reviews will be assigned for tests and being
absent on review days DOES NOT excuse you from taking a test on test days.
 In order to be ELIGIBLE for a test RETAKE opportunity you must have ALL your work
corrected and completed for that unit. Also, all homework assignments must be in by the
ORIGINAL test day.
 Eligible students will need to complete test corrections with Mr. Kerber and complete a
review assignment before attempting a RETAKE. This work needs to be done before or
after school with Mr. Kerber.
