FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
19 November 2010
TUT investigates alleged exam leak at its Ga-Rankuwa Campus
The Tshwane University of Technology has noted allegations that some exam papers
were leaked at its Ga-Rankuwa Campus.
As soon as the University became aware of these allegations, it activated its internal
process to start investigating the matter.
As a precautionary measure, the University has dispatched a new team to run the
exams at the Campus until this matter is concluded.
Auditors will be part of the investigating team. The outcome of the investigation will
inform the University on how to finalise this matter.
In the interim, the University has put together other contingency measures on the
remaining/oncoming exams. Unfortunately, the University is not in a position to divulge
details of those measures.
TUT appeals to anyone, who might have concrete information about the leaking of
exam papers, to urgently contact the Office of the Registrar at 012 382 4421/5180.
