Algebra II Syllabus Teacher Information: Mrs. Schmitt Email: schmittv@waterlooschools.org Website: http://schmittmath.weebly.com/ --- Each day I upload the topic I covered, as well as the homework I assigned. Tutoring: I am available before and after school Monday-Thursday per appointment. Class Expectations Come to class on time and be in your seat when the bell rings or you will be tardy. Respect yourself, others, and property while on school grounds. Arrive to class prepared to learn with all necessary materials. Wait for an appropriate time to leave your seat. It is your responsibility to get make-up work at an appropriate time upon returning from an absence using the calendar on the wall. No food or candy is allowed in class. You may have bottled water in a clear container, no pop. Cell phones are not allowed in class. Ipods are not allowed in class. They are not allowed during a test. If they are seen during class, they will be confiscated and you will receive a zero if you were working on a test or quiz. Remain in your seat and continue working until the teacher dismisses you. Materials Three ring binder with loose leaf paper (notes and homework sections) Textbook: CME Project Algebra 2 (Pearson) 2009 Pencils Scientific Calculator (If it has a sin, cos, tan button you should be ok. You can find some for less than $10) Assignments Assignments will be given every day. Make sure to complete your homework as I assign it. All work must be written out completely NO WORK = NO CREDIT All work must be done in PENCIL Assignments will be half credit after the assigned due date. Notes Notes will be given every day and will be part of your employability grade. You are responsible to have your binder up-to-date and organized. If you are gone it is your responsibility to get the notes you missed. Notes for each chapter will be due on the day of the test. Tests and Quizzes There will be a quiz and/or test over each chapter. Each test you will be given exactly one class period to take. If you are gone the day of a test, it must be made up within one week. If caught cheating on the test, you will receive a zero.
