OUTLINE OF DAY
The Literacy content will focus upon the Council’s new Reading Strategy. Literacy Coordinators will be introduced to the elements of the strategy listed below and will
work together to provide their input to these elements.







Sharing Good Practice
Auditing Reading
Assessment and Record Keeping
Supporting Parents
Community Volunteers
The Mathematics content will focus upon making maths real and
using the outdoor environment. Maths co-ordinators will have the
opportunity to take part in and plan for outdoor activities and
develop an understanding of how to use and apply mathematics in real contexts.
