General Information
Purpose and Intended Audience: To provide practicing radiologists the opportunity to actively participate in the interpretation of a wide variety of pulmonary and cardiac images including plain films, intensive care radiographs, spiral CT and Cardiac CT studies. Participants will gain greater exposure to studies such as Spiral CT pulmonary embolism studies, ECG – gated cardiac
CT exams and Coronary artery CT angiograms. The participant may also have the opportunity to observe CT guided biopsies.
Overall Learner Objectives: Upon completing the traineeship, participants should be able to
1.
Learn to protocol different cardiac and pulmonary CT exams
2.
Demonstrate their familiarity with intensive care imaging.
3.
Participate in the set up and acquisition of CT angiograms of the coronary arteries.
4.
Over-read PE studies, coronary artery CTA and calcium studies, and intracardiac thrombi
CT exams.
